Why Learn 3D Printing at Maker Pub?

Try before you buy

Thinking about buying a 3D printer? Places like Michaels and Best Buy have them on a shelf, but you can't actually see them run. At Maker Pub you can watch our Bambu Lab and Prusa printers in action, run your own print, and compare models side by side before spending $500+ on a machine for home.

  • • See print quality and speed in person
  • • Try different materials and settings
  • • Ask staff which printer fits your needs
  • • Make something real, not just a demo cube

Hone your skills once you do

Already own a printer? Maker Pub is where you level up. Take the advanced class to learn multi-color printing, troubleshoot failed prints with experienced staff, or just come hang out during open lab and work on projects alongside other makers.

  • • Learn techniques YouTube doesn't explain well
  • • Get help with slicing, supports, and print settings
  • • Use equipment you don't have at home

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any 3D printing experience?
Not at all. Our classes start from zero and our drop-in projects come with full staff guidance. You pick a design, we handle the technical setup.
What printers do you have?
Bambu Lab A1 with AMS Lite and Prusa MK3.5. We use the same printers hobbyists and professionals use at home – so what you learn here transfers directly.
Can I bring my own design to print?
Yes! During open lab hours or with a day pass, you can bring your own STL files and print them on our equipment. Staff can help with slicing and print settings.
I bought a 3D printer but never learned to use it. Can you help?
That's one of the most common things we hear. Take the crash course or drop in during open lab – we'll help you get comfortable with your own machine by learning on ours.
How much does it cost?
Drop-in projects start at $15 (materials included). The crash course is $50 for both classes during our pilot. Day passes for open lab are $15.
Can I try a printer before buying one?
Absolutely. Unlike retail stores, you can actually see the printers in action, run a print, and compare models side by side before deciding what to buy for home.
