Help build Antioch's first makerspace

The Mission

Backed by Antioch's economic development program

This pilot is part of a city grant to foster local entrepreneurship, the creator economy, and job creation. We're starting with a 3D print lab and growing based on what the community needs.

Community

Built by and for Antioch

This isn't a franchise dropping into a neighborhood. It's a grassroots effort to give local makers, entrepreneurs, and creators a real workspace and path to grow.

Early Stage

We're just getting started

We have the printers, the space, and the curriculum. Now we need people — take a course, show up to open lab, or just spread the word.

Support

Ways to help this grow

Take a course. Tell a friend. Partner with us if you're a local business. Donate equipment. Every bit of support moves us closer to a full makerspace with ceramics, woodworking, sewing, and more.

Céad Míle Fáilte

The first Irish language makerspace in California

Maker Pub is a Celtic language friendly venue and proud member of the Love.irish network, supporting the revival of Irish and other Celtic languages. We're starting with Irish, as Gaeilge, and growing from there.

Pobal

A community for Irish speakers and learners

Whether you're fluent or just curious, you'll find others here who share the interest. Practice over a project, not a textbook.

Ceol

Work to the sound of Irish and Celtic music, from live harp sessions to Kneecap, Tempest, and Navan on our rotating playlist. Channel your inner creative spirit while you make.

Comharthaíocht

Bi-lingual signage throughout the space

All signage at Maker Pub features both English and Irish. It's a simple way to build familiarity with the language — you'll pick up words just by being here.

Foghlaim

Learn Irish in a creative environment

Pick up Irish naturally while you make. We offer resources, word-of-the-day boards, and a welcoming space for learners at any level — from your first cúpla focal to confident conversation.

Cultúr

Celtic art and design traditions

Draw inspiration from knotwork, ogham, and Celtic mythology in your maker projects. Bring heritage into what you create — from 3D printed Celtic crosses to laser-cut ogham boards.
